Tools that respect your time — and your data.
Figro is a free collection of 50+ calculators and utilities that run instantly and privately in your browser. No signup, no install, nothing uploaded. Open a tool, get your answer, close the tab.
Why we built Figro
Most "free online tools" have quietly become the opposite of useful. You search for a simple unit converter or a loan calculator and land on a page that asks you to create an account, buries the tool under three ad breaks, redraws the layout as scripts load, and — worst of all — uploads whatever you typed to a server you know nothing about. A tool that should take five seconds becomes a small negotiation over your attention and your data.
We thought the boring, honest version was overdue: a tool should do one job, do it immediately, and keep your input on your own device. So we started building exactly that — one small, focused utility at a time — and put them all under one roof. That roof is Figro.
How Figro works (the short technical version)
Every Figro tool is a self-contained web page. The logic runs in your browser using plain JavaScript — the same way a spreadsheet formula runs on your laptop. When you generate a password, convert a currency, calculate take-home pay, or resize an image, that computation happens locally. Nothing you enter is transmitted to us, because there is no "us" server in the loop to receive it. You can confirm this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab, and use any tool — you'll see no upload of your data.
A few tools save your preferences or work-in-progress to your browser's localStorage so your setup survives a refresh. That data stays on your device and you can clear it any time. That's the whole architecture, and it's deliberate: privacy that comes from how the software is built, not from a promise in a policy.
Private by design
Tools run on your device. Your input is never uploaded, because there's no server processing it.
No signups, ever
No account, no email wall, no "free trial." Open a tool and use it immediately.
Actually free
No paywalled features and no watermarks on the things you export.
Documented math
Our guides explain the formulas behind the calculators so you can check the numbers.
Accuracy and honesty about the numbers
Many of our tools touch money — paychecks, loans, taxes, insurance needs, real-estate returns. We take the math seriously: tax brackets and contribution limits are updated for the current year, and formulas follow the standard methods professionals use (Mifflin-St Jeor for calories, DIME for life-insurance needs, standard amortization for loans, and so on). Where a calculation depends on assumptions, we show them and let you change them.
That said, a calculator is a starting point, not personalized advice. Figro's finance, tax, insurance, and health tools are for education and estimation. For decisions that carry real consequences, confirm the numbers with a qualified professional. Our guides are written to help you understand why a number comes out the way it does, so you're never just trusting a black box.
How Figro stays free
Building and maintaining 50+ tools takes real time, so Figro is supported two ways, both disclosed plainly. First, we show advertising through Google AdSense. Second, some tool pages link to third-party products that pair well with the task at hand — a password manager next to the password generator, invoicing software next to the invoice maker. A few of those are affiliate links, which means if you sign up we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only suggest categories of products people actually reach for in that context, and the tool itself is never gated behind them. That's the entire business model — no data sales, no dark patterns.
Who's behind it
Figro is an independent project built and maintained by a small team that likes fast, respectful software. We're not a venture-funded startup chasing your email address; we're the people who were also tired of tool pages that fight you. New tools and guides are added regularly, and much of what gets built next comes straight from user suggestions.
